My Dear Parishioners,

Today, our hearts soar with joy as we celebrate not just the Solemnity of the Assumption, but our very own Parish Feast Day. Our beloved church is named in honor of our Blessed Mother’s glorious assumption into heaven, and this is a day to rejoice as one family in faith.
The Assumption is not merely a historical event; it is a promise. Mary, our Mother, was taken body and soul into heavenly glory because she was full of grace. Her Assumption is our destiny. It tells us that where she has gone, we hope to follow Mary was not exempt from the struggles of life; she knew sorrow, poverty, and loss. Yet, she remained faithful. And in the end, God exalted her.
This is a powerful message for our parish community. We, too, face trials and weariness. But today, we lift our eyes to heaven and remember that our labor in the Lord is never in vain.

To the families striving to live out their faith in a challenging world, I say : take courage! Mary is your model of quiet strength and unwavering trust.
To the elderly and the sick, you are the crown of our parish. Your prayers are the spiritual oxygen that keeps us alive. Like Mary, you are nearing the heavenly goal.
To the young people, look to Mary, the young woman who said “yes” to God. She is the star that leads you to her Son.
We are the “Assumption Parish.” This name is our identity card. We are called to be a community that assumes, a community that lifts up one another. We are called to be a people of hope, not of despair. We are called to be a stepping stone to heaven for each other.
As your Parish Priest , I kneel before the altar of our Lady and ask for her intercession upon each of you:
· May the Mother of God wrap you in her mantle of protection.
· May she intercede for you in your urgent needs.
· May she bring you peace in your storms.
· And may she, at the hour of your own passing, be there to greet you and lead you to the throne of her Son. Amen
