St. Augustine Tiv Catholic community* is a body of Tiv Catholic faithful in diaspora. Its aim is to bring together Catholic faithful to promote their faith, Catholic identity and culture in line with the teachings of Catholic Church. The society encourages the spiritual growth of members by promoting the objective study of the Bible and galvanising all her members to actively participate in church activities as well as assisting in the general welfare of the members. It was formed here in Falomo in the 2019. Suffered setback in 2020 due to covid-19. Sook approval in 2021, under the priest Very Rev.Fr. Pius Umofoma. After a careful examination, it got a formal inauguration in October, 2022, by Very Rev.Fr Francis IKE. The society meets every second Sunday of the month, for general meeting, and every fourth Sunday of the month for prayer session, after 10am mass respectively. The society also holds a 9 days novena to St Augustine every August of the year. The slogan to St Augustine is; pray for us. Our patron Saint’s image is used as our logo.
