EASTER BREAK

The Parish Office will be Closed from  Holy Thursday, 2^nd  April to re-open on Wednesday, 8^th April 2026.

Kindly take note of the Holy Week Mass schedule on the notice board and on the parish website (www.churchoftheassumption.org).

CHAPEL OF ADORATION

Our Chapel will be closed from Holy Thursday evening, 2^nd April, 2026 and  will be re-opens on Easter Sunday, 5^th  April 2026.

PARISH UNIFORM

This is available for sale in the bookshop.  Please get yours and identify with the parish as we prepare for Galilee 2026.

PARKING/SECURITY (PLEASE NOTE:)

• No parking within the Church Premises on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Monday.
• Parishioners are to park at the School Premises, Dangote Car Park and Falomo Square (except Easter Monday).
• Please take care of your personal belongings: bags, phones, etc.

MASS SCHEDULE FOR THE HOLY WEEK ARE AS FOLLOWS:

HOLY THURSDAY – 2^ND APRIL 2026

9.00am                 –                   Chrism Mass – Holy Cross Cathedral

6.00pm                 –                   Mass of the Lord’s Super  – (Church of the

Assumption, Falomo)

8.30pm                 –                   Adoration till midnight

NB:  There will be NO morning and afternoon Masses on Holy Thursday.

GOOD FRIDAY – 3^RD  APRIL 2026

9.00am                           Tenebrae

10.00am                         Reflection on “The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ”

12noon                            Stations of the Cross

2.30pm                           Divine Mercy Devotion

3.00pm                           Celebration of the Lord’s Passion

HOLY SATURDAY – VIGIL MASS – 4^TH APRIL 2026

8.30pm                             Vigil Mass of the Resurrection

CANDLES FOR VIGIL MASS:

We are encouraged to come with candles or  buy from the bookshop.

The  Parish Bookshop  will be open  on Holy Saturday evening before the Vigil Mass.

GALILEE DAY

Our Galilee day will take place immediately after the 10.00am Mass on Easter Monday 6^th April 2026 at St. George’s Primary School Premises.

All Societies are required to provide refreshment for their members.  This is to enable each society bond together as a family in the celebration of the season.

There will be games for the children.  Individuals are also encouraged to bring some food and drinks to share with others in the spirit of Easter. To this end, we solicit the support of our dear parishioners to provide games and refreshment for our children.  Donation can be made into our Church of the Assumption Union Bank Account No: 0007230865.

WEEKDAY MASS:

From  Tuesday 7^th April – Friday, 10^th April 2026, there would be only two Masses on these days: 6.30am and 12.30pm while Saturday Mass will be at 8.00am.

Please note there would be no Evening Mass.
