2 .THE ANNUNCIATION OF THE LORD
(SOLEMNITY)

Wednesday, March 25th, is a solemnity This is a holy day of obligation and we encourage all Parishioners to attend Mass on this special day.

3. Palm Sunday – 29th April 2026
Next Sunday, 29th April 2026 is Palm Sunday, which marks the beginning of Holy Week.
Let us gather in faith and devotion as we commemorate the triumphant entry of the Lord into Jerusalem.

4. Sacrament at Easter
The Third Scrutiny of the Rite of Elects for reception of Sacraments for this year’s Easter will take place during the 12noon Mass today, Sunday 22nd March 2026. Catechumens and sponsors in the RCIA Class should take note.

5. Feeding of Inmates
We wish to draw our attention to our brothers and sisters who are in prison and are also observing the Lenten Season. We appeal to our parishioners to kindly donate raw food items so that they will also have an opportunity to break their fast with a decent meal. 6. A Life-Changing Opportunity: Full-Time University Scholarship
A parishioner is offering a full-time university scholarship to twenty-five qualified members of our parish congregation who desire to study Computer Science or Computer Engineering in a Nigerian university. This scholarship is intended for indigent students—someone with genuine financial need who meets the required qualifications. Please visit the parish office for more information. 8. 2025 Harvest Planning Committee.
The 2025 Harvest Planning Committee is winding up its harvest activities and therefore appeal to Parishioners to redeem their harvest pledges through any of the following Banks:

9. Children Mass
We are encouraged to take our children to the Parish Hall every Sunday for the Children’s Mass. Time: 10.00am. Venue: Parish Hall.

10. Parish Bulletin
Kindly support the printing of the Parish Bulletin. Sponsorship is N10,000 a week, N30,000 monthly, and N350,000 yearly. Please make your cheques payable to Church of the Assumption Falomo or make Transfers to ECOBANK Account No 3772007085. You can also advertise your products and services in the Bulletin. 11. Parish Office Hours
The parish office is open on weekdays Mondays to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm. For your convenience, the Parish Office is also open on Sundays between 8.30am – 2.00pm. Kindly avail yourself of this special service. Thank you for your kind cooperation.

12. Mass Booking/Payments to the Church
For all Mass bookings, and any payment to the Church, please visit and make payment at the Parish Office only, and collect your receipt.
You can also make direct transfer to our Parish Account. Parishioners are advised to DESIST from giving CASH to ANYONE on their behalf for Mass bookings or any other payment to the Church.
For enquiries and confirmations, please call the Office line 0201 295 4238 between 9.00am – 4.00pm.

13. Caution on Giving Alms
It has become worrisome that some persons have continued to approach parishioners, sometimes, during mass and around the Church premises, soliciting for financial and other forms of assistance. This practice has become prevalent and is highly discouraged.
Anyone in genuine need of help is advised to approach the Parish Office, the St. Vincent de Paul Society or JDPC for proper guidance, help or support.
Please direct persons seeking for help to the right channels and discourage them from this act as it compromises our security.
All acts of charity should be channelled through the Parish Office, the St. Vincent de Paul Society or JDPC, where genuine cases are carefully verified and attended to.
The Church premises must remain a place for worship, peace and order. Please cooperate with our security to ensure a safe environment.

14. Bank Transfers
For your convenience, you can make your offerings, tithe, donations, and support of bulletins through bank transfers. Kindly check your pews or bulletin for our Bank details. May the good Lord who sees all that is done in secret bless you abundantly. Amen.

15. Society Announcement
1. Guild of St. Anthony
The 13 Tuesdays Novena to the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua commenced on Tuesday, 17th March, it will continue till Tuesday 8th June 2026. We are encouraged to join the Novena prayer which will hold every Tuesday immediately after the evening mass inside the Church. Petitions envelope are also available on top of the St. Anthony Petition box inside the Church.

2. The Society of St. Vincent De Paul
