St. Vincent De Paul

What is SSVP?

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a society that is responsible for addressing the needs of the poor and less privileged people in our environ.

The society was founded in 1833 in France by Frederic Ozanam and his five companions, when challenged to show their works in order to prove their Catholic Faith.

“It is not enough to believe or even to defend the faith, not enough to adore the God of the Gospel, one must follow Christ in the service of the poor” St. Vincent de Paul (1581-1660)
