Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary
Mission & Purpose
To propagate the Social Reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by helping the faithful to Live a life of prayer and love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to Achieve Christian perfection.
Meetings Days & Time
- Thursday Adoration – as of 2025: Every Thursday in Chapel after Mass@ 6:45/7pm
- 1st Friday Prayers of the Month: Once a month (currently done 5pm in Devotee’s home)
- 1st Saturday of the Month – Marian Prayers to follow 8am Mass
- Society Meeting: on 2nd Saturday of Month@9am, room below COAF Hall
Activities & Initiatives
a) Sacred Heart Feast Day (usually in the Month of June on Friday)
- Preceded by a 9-Day Novena leading up to the Feast Day
- There is special evening Mass with the SHJ&IHM reparation Prayer & offerings
- Also used as a fund raiser to support the Church, Priests & Community
b) Immaculate of Mary Feast Day (usually in the Month of June on following Saturday)
- Celebrated by going to Morning Mass with offering to the Lord
- A charity visit follows Mass with donations to the Motherless babies’ home, Orphanage, the elderly, etc.
c) Enthronement of the SACRED HEART OF JESUS & IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY Altar in our homes to have access to Jesus in our homes 24/7 for us and our families.
d) In August all societies in the Archdiocese of Lagos converge to have Mass, worship & Supplication to our Lord with the Archbishop – The Solemn Admission
e) Every Year in last weekend of January, we Visit Iperu, say Mass with and fund raise with the Missionary Society of St. Paul (MSP) – a 2yr spiritual formation Center for Priests
